Obituary for Adam Thomas "Mr. A" Strand

Adam Thomas Strand, the beloved son of Clinton and Jeannette Strand, transitioned on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wayne, New Jersey. He was the youngest child born to this union. He was born on September 2, 1975 in Paterson, New Jersey.

Adam was educated in the Paterson Public School system and was a graduate of Eastside High School. After graduation, he began working for CAPEZIO Ballet Makers in Totwa, New Jersey and worked there for over 25 years. In later years, he began working as a warehouse worker and worked his way up to become the warehouse shipping supervisor.

Adam was a great bowler and was a member of several leagues. He was also a member of the 300 Club at Elmwood Park Lanes. Adam was a sports enthusiast. He loved the New York Giants, the New York Mets, and the Los Angeles Lakers. His favorite players were Shaq and Kobe.

In his leisure, Adam enjoyed traveling to Georgia and Tennessee to visit his brothers. He was a great person to know and loved making new friends.

Adam was a member of the Reformed Church of God in Paterson, New Jersey, under the leadership of the late Rev. Floyd Lewis, Sr. When he would visit his parents in Onancock, Virginia, Adam always worshiped at Bethel AME Church along with his parents.

Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley Jubilee, Virginia Jubilee, Henry Strand, and Eula Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Clinton and Jeannette Strand of Onancock, VA; three brothers, Rodney (Hilda) Strand of Dallas, GA, Herbert (Debbie) Strand of Clarksville, TN, and Clinton Matthews of Richmond, VA; one sister, Michelle Davis of Paterson, NJ; his landlord and special friend, Anna Marie Mather; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Lovingly submitted,
