Obituary for Antonio Demont "Mont" Brown

Antonio Demont "Mont" Brown was born July 14, 1977 in Modest Town, Virginia to Calvin Godwin and Barrie Brown. Printist and Patsy Drummond helped raise him. He departed his life on January 2, 2023 at his home in Wattsville, Virginia.

"Mont", "B-Fats," and "Fat Face," as he was affectionately known, was educated in the Accomack County Public Schools. He graduated from Arcadia High School in Oak Hall, Virginia in 1996. Mont was employed by Perdue Foods in Accomac, Virginia.

Mont joined Jerusalem Baptist Church in 2022. He enjoyed reading the Bible with his grandmother and he had a passion for drawing. Mont was a friend to everyone he met and was always willing to lend a helping hand and give an encouraging word. He had a love for the San Francisco 49ers, and would talk stuff to anyone about his team.

Mont was preceded in death by his grandparents, Levin Brown, Harvey Taylor, James Godwin, Louveller Godwin, and Shellie Brent.

Mont is survived by his children: Terrica Bragg, Terry Bragg, Quan’Tae Wharton, and Jayceon Caldwell; grandson, Raul Mcleary; parents, Calvin (Gwen) Godwin, Barrie Brown, Printist and Patsy Drummond; his grandmother, Gladys Brent; siblings, Shymekia Brown, Anthony Taylor, Tremayne (Latoya) Joynes, Dysheta (Keyon) Wiggins, Nicole (Alvin ) Drummond, Natasha Johnson, and Tieast Tull; his goddaughter, Ja'Nara Fauntleroy; a special nephew and niece, Acey and ShyAjah Mapp; and a host of special uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
