Betty Jean Bailey Young was born on September 7, 1945 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to Richard House and Ozetta Austin. She was a loving wife, mother, and daycare provider.
Betty was a member of Snead’s Memorial United Methodist Church in Keller, Virginia. She enjoyed worshipping and serving the Lord.
On March 17, 2023, Betty gained her wings. She is joining her parents, Richard House and Ozetta Austin; sister, Dora Hill; brother-in-law, Billie Robinson; daughter, Carolyn Henderson; and former husband, Theodore Bailey. Her family and friends will dearly miss her.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Tony Young of Melfa, VA; two sons, Julius (Latonya) Hill of Virginia Beach, VA and Randy Hill of NC; six daughters, Vanessa Drummond of OH, Stephanie Hill of GA, Sandra Hill (Coley Farmer) of Onancock, VA, Joycelyn Bailey of Eastville, VA, Carolyn Garrison of Virginia Beach, VA, and Victoria Berryhill of Norfolk, VA; two brothers, James Austin of Keller, VA and John (Denise) Lee Hill of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters, Sarah Robinson of NY and Flora Hill of Richmond, VA; twenty grandchildren, Antonio Saunders, Randy Hill, III, Antwuan Tatum, Markice Hill, Keysha Keys, Sharmea Hill, Derek Hill, Brittany Bailey, Patrick Bailey, Carlton Smith, Nicholas Savage, Jayden Savage, Randy Hill, Jr., Keron Hill, Dwuan Chandler, Latoya Wright, Jerry Wright, Montyneke Henderson, Samaj Robinson, and Bobby Henderson, Jr.; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
