Obituary for Cassius Paige Nock

Cassius Paige Nock was born on March 2, 1967 to the late Juanita Marshall and Paige Nock in Northampton County, Virginia. He attended school in Accomack County and graduated in 1985.

Every Summer he would go to New Jersey to spend time with Sonny and Dottie Chandler. After graduating high school, he decided to move to New Jersey. His first job was at Burger King, until he started his medical records career at Underwood Memorial, now Inspire Medical Center. Cassius worked in the medial records department until his health started to fail.

Cassius was a loving and caring person to all and deeply loved his family and friends. He loved to watch and play tennis and was an avid reader. It was much to our surprise that we found a draft of a novel that he was writing.

He leaves to cherish his memories: sister, Vanessa Marshall; two brothers, Alfred Marshall and Maurice Press; sister-in-law, Sarah Marshall; four aunts, Daisy Handy, Carol Collins, Thelma Brown, and Joyce Schoolfield; four uncles, Grover Marshall, Leroy Marshall, Anthony Allen, and Tommy Marshall; one great-uncle, James Marshall; special friends, Darlene, Elizabeth, Cathy, Roi, and Tim; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

A very special thanks to Arlene Dye. She is our cousin, and was his primary caregiver during illness. She took excellent care of him, and we are grateful for her. She is a blessing to the family and we appreciate everything that she did for Cassius.

Cassius was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita; father, Paige; both maternal and paternal grandparents; brothers, Elroy and Tiffer; nephew, AJ; and niece, Emani.

Cassius was truly loved by so many people.

Sorrowfully submitted,
The Family
