Obituary for Chikira Antrice Fletcher

Chikira Antrice Fletcher was born on December 26, 1983 at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter in Norfolk, Virginia to Frances White Fletcher and the late John Wayne Wilson. Her life was tragically ended on November 10, 2021at her residence in Accomac, Virginia.

Chikira was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. In later years, she attended Penn Foster High School to obtain her diploma. In 2008, she was the shift manager at Burger King. In later years, she worked at Tyson Foods and Waterside Inn. Her last place of employment was McDonald’s on Chincoteague, where she worked until her health began to fail.

Chikira was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and the 757 Queens Social Club. She enjoyed dancing, singing, watching First 48, and playing games on her tablet.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by great-grandmother, Janie Lucy White; aunts, Rosseta Giddens and Francis White Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons, Nasir Byrd and Ahmad Snead; mother, Frances White Fletcher; stepfather, George Thomas Mason; sisters, Trikira Patrice Fletcher (Forlando Snead) and McKeva Lashea Fletcher (Charles “Chuck” Tyler, Jr.); aunt, Mae Helen Smith; uncles, William Lee White and Jimmy Lee White; great-uncle, Tomboy; godmother, Geraldine Johnson; godfather, Brodus Mason; godbrother, Hakeem “TJ” Johnson; special friend, Cordoria Cropper (Barry Dennis); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
