Obituary for Dallas Tex "Duck" Davis

Dallas Tex Davis, was born on May 21, 1966 in Nassawadox, Virginia to the late William Davis and Adell Davis. He departed this life on August 8, 2023 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, Virginia.

Dallas, affectionately known as “Duck,” was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. Throughout his life, he worked in several industries, most recently in landscaping.

Dallas was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wardtown, Virginia, where he worshipped with his family.

In his spare time, Dallas enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboy, listening to music, being a comedian, and playing cards.

Dallas loved to hang out with his family and friends. There wasn’t anything he would not do for his family. He was loved by many and will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Dallas leaves to cherish his memories: four siblings, William Hill of Winchester, VA, Marshall Davis (Connie), Kenneth Davis, and Deborah Wharton (Gerald), all of Parksley, VA; three aunts, Georgianna Sturgis, Farris Strand, and Gloria Fletcher, all of Parksley, VA; special friends, Darlene Coston; two stepchildren, Tylik and Treshawn; special cousin who was like a brother, Marvin Davis; four nephews, Michael Davis of Snow Hill, MD, Anthony Davis (Tonya) of Berlin, MD, Gerald Wharton, Jr. (Latoya) of Salisbury, MD, and Gerrick Wharton of Camden, DE; two great-nephews; six great-nieces; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Lovingly submitted,
The Family
