Obituary for Elouise White "Wesie" Allen

“The Lord is My Shepherd, I shall not want”~Psalm 23:1

Elouise Adella White Allen, daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth White was called home on October 26, 2021.

Elouise, affectionately known as “Wesie,” was born on September 23, 1937 in Bull Begger, VA. She received her education in the Accomack Public Schools. Even though she didn’t receive her high school diploma, she worked hard and received her GED in 1984.

Elouise was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Mappsville, Virginia. She spent most of her career working at Tyson’s Foods. She then ventured on to doing what she loved most and that was driving the school bus for the Head Start program and babysitting.

On September 26, 2009, Elouise married Walter Allen and moved to Baltimore County. As she became ill and was unable to continue living in Baltimore, she moved to Newport News, Virginia to live with her daughter, Alice. Elouise loved reading her Bible daily and writing in her journal. She kept her television tuned to the game show network. We will miss hearing her say, “I love you more than you ever know and you know thats right!”

Elouise was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Allen; parents, Alfred and Elizabeth; and her sisters, Marzella, Sarah, and Florence.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories: one daughter, Alice Bell; two sons, William White (Coletta) and Norman Collins; five sisters, Syvella Chandler, Jennie Rich, Betty White, Alvinia Hinmon, and Deborah White; one brother, Alfred White; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great, great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins, and friends.

Lovingly and sorrowfully submitted,
The Family
