Obituary for Erika Cherrelle "Worm" Bailey
Erika Cherrelle Bailey, age 27 of Parksley, Virginia, passed away on Nocks Landing Road in Atlantic, Virginia on April 12, 2023 from a tragic accident. Her sudden passing has left us deeply sadden.
Erika was born on March 14, 1996 in Nassawadox, Virginia. She was educated in the public schools of Accomack County and was a 2014 graduate of Arcadia High School. In later years, she enrolled in Fortis College to become a Medial Assistant. She was currently employed at Plastic Fabricator in Pocomoke, Maryland.
Erika loved to have fun, in other words she was the “Life of the Party.” Everbody loved “Worm,” as she was affectionately known. Erika was a loveable person and would help anyone. She loved to cook and go on new adventures. It was never a dull moment when she was around.
Erika was preceded in death by grandfather, William Ward.
Erika is survived by her parents, Eric and Tammy Ward of Parksley, VA; one daughter, Morgan Kennedi Evans and her father, Prentice Evans; brother, Eric Ward, Jr. of Pocomoke, MD; sister, Breshell Morris of Salisbury, MD; special friend, Duane Turner of Atlantic, VA; four aunts, Cassandras Bailey of Atlanta, GA, Teresa Snead of Parksley, VA, Veronica Poulson, and Vickie Poulson, both of Withams, VA; four uncles, William Ward, Jr. of Withams, VA, Ronald Lykes of NC, Govan Snead, Jr., and Timothy Finney, Sr., both of Parksley, VA; grandparents, Ethel Ward of Withams, VA and Ross and Martha Bailey of Parksley, VA; cousins, KeShawn Bailey, Brashawn Bailey, Brikeem Bailey, Timothy Finney, Jr., Tyric Finney, Isaiah Finney, LaShawn Poulson, Breonna Bailey, Bianco Bailey, Manaisha Sullivan, Lynnesa Lykes, Ronnetra Owens, and Brittany Finney; best friends, Shamia Pettit, Altrice Mapp, Charmeka Northan, and Taylor Milbourne; and a host of other relatives and friends. Erika will be missed and the bond of her ten cousins has been broken.
