Obituary for Fritzner Jourdain

Me growing up, I always known this man a hardworking, friendly, very funny, obedient, light hearted, very loving.

They gave him a nickname, “3 goud edmi” in Haiti because he used to buy goats and sell them back in the flea market in croix des bouquets. One day he was selling a goat then the buyer asked him, how much was the goat, he said 3 goud edmi which meant $350. But all this was to put food on the table for his family and keep them under a roof. While he was during this, he had travelled multiple times to look for a better life but had failed. However, he did not stop pursuing his dream, in 2003 he left Haiti for the last time, 4 years later he lost his first wife, the mother of all his children and 1 year later he finally made it to USA in 2008 where he migrated and made Virginia his residence’s state.

He worked at Tyson foods for several years, where he earned couple recognitions as a hard and loyal worker. In 2017 he had a back pain that he could not bear. Every doctor he visited could not help him, but one day he decided to go to the emergency in the hospital in Salisbury when he was diagnosed with a type of cancer, they called multi miloma which is a cancer that develope in people’s blood.

After 2 years he was on remission then became sick again in 2021. He really fought because of his wife, children and grandchildren. He was always afraid for the children that were in Haiti, because he was their support and wanted to continue to be there for them. Even though he was out of work, but with little that he had, he was there for them. After fighting so much, he was hit with mr Covid 19 that already found him with complicated conditions, and there he lost strength, even with that he was still fighting, he became hospitalized for over a month at the eastern shore memorial hospital, over 15 days in life support, and he finally said goodbye to this world on February the 12th 2022.

He left behind his wife Dieula Normil, his children: Bechnet Jourdain, Lovely Jourdain, Wisthlay Jourdain, Jymaguene Jourdain, Senglith Jourdain, Veronn. Jourdain, Keney Jourdain, Pharra Jourdain, Wikenley Jourdain; His grandchildren: Jonathan Jourdain, Atlens Joudain, Cheilla Deborah joseph, Snyderson Joseph, Greg Joseph, Wislanda Jourdain, Keilla Jourdain, Alvin John wed Francois, Withnael franc;ois, Leïtson Jean, Claydersen Jean who we are wishing condolences. Fritzner Jourdain is gone today, however we know for a fact that he is in a better place, no more suffering, no more sorrow, no more sickness. Because we love you, we have to accept it but until we meet again, Rest in Peace.
