Obituary for Gloria Ann Knox (Harmon)
Gloria Ann Knox, daughter of the late Israel Finney, Sr. and Margaret Sarah Finney, was born on December 8, 1950 in Mappsburg, Virginia. She gained her wings on March 30, 2021 in Wachapreague, Virginia.
Gloria was educated in the Accomack County Public School system and graduated from Mary N. Smith High School. She was employed at Perdue Farms in Accomac, Virginia for over thirty-five years.
Gloria accepted Christ at an early age and joined Herbert Baptist Church in Wachapreague, Virginia.
Gloria enjoyed cooking for her family and you could often find her outside in her garden. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Allen, Ray, Roy, and Joe Louis Finney; and sister, Betty Giddens.
She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Desi (Mangel) Harmon, Omeka Smith, Natasha Smith, and Rahsaan Knox; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Sarah Ayres, Israel Finney, Jr., Georgia Pollard, and Terry Finney, Sr.; aunts, Helen Harmon, Emma Chisums, and Ida Harmon; special friends, Eunice Albert and Nancy Harmon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
