Obituary for Jerleane Elizabeth Fisher (Harmon)
Jerleane Elizabeth Harmon Fisher, beloved daughter of Carrie Bailey and the late Thomas Garder Harmon, was born on April 18, 1950 in Belle Haven, Virginia. She departed this life on May 7, 2023 at her residence.
Jerleane attended the public schools of Accomack County. She was employed at Perdue Farms in Accomac, Virginia until her retirement in 2015.
On April 21, 1968, she was joined in holy matrimony to Roland Lee Fisher, Sr. This union was blessed with two children.
In her spare time, Jerleane enjoyed cooking, fishing, watching soap operas and wrestling, and babysitting her granddaughter, Jaylen.
In addition to her father, Jerleane was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Lee Fisher, Sr.; granddaughter, Coffin Fisher; and sister, Rosa Mae Summers.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving mother, Carrie Bailey; lifelong companion, Cecil Beckett; children, Marshall Fisher (Calithia) of Accomac, VA, Roland Lee Fisher, Jr. (De’Vall) of Crisfield, MD, Natasha Fisher, and Cecil Fisher (Keyana), both of Baltimore, MD; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six siblings, Juanita Downing (Samuel) of Gargatha, VA, John Thomas Harmon (Patricia) of Painter, VA, Virginia Carr (Michael) of Baltimore, MD, Roland Harmon (Patsy) of Wachapreague, VA, Audrey Bush (James) of Baltimore, MD, and Charles Harmon of Painter, VA; aunt, Margaret Rogers of Hare Valley, VA; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
