Obituary for Joyce Marie Matthews-Perry (Robinson)

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Joyce Marie Matthews-Perry, the beloved daughter of the late Charles Robinson and Evatt Malashine Eason, was born on February 25, 1963 on Long Island, New York. She departed this life on August 24, 2022 at her residence in Marion, South Carolina.

Joyce was educated in the public schools of New York. In later years, she relocated to the Eastern Shore of Virginia. There she worked in food service for the Accomack County Public Schools for a short time.

Joyce was a member of the St. John’s Holiness Church in Cambridge, Maryland. She loved to worship the Lord and study the Bible. Her favorite scripture was Romans 8:28. She also loved to listen to You Know My Name by Tasha Cobb.

On March 23, 2003, she married Vincent L. Perry. They shared nineteen years of love and devotion. A few years after they wed, they relocated to Marion, South Carolina, where they resided until her demise.

Joyce truly loved her family, especially her son, Kendal. Her greatest joy came from taking care of her loving husband and son. Her parting has truly left a void that cannot be replaced.

Left to cherish her loving memories are her husband of nineteen years, Vincent L. Perry; son, Kendal Matthews; devoted friend, Sam Cooper; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Sorrowfully submitted,
The Family
