Obituary for Keon Lamar "Kedro" Townsend

Keon Lamar Townsend was born August 4, 1982 in Nassawadox, Virginia to Lewis “Tommy” Crosby and Cynthia Townsend. He departed this life on February 20, 2023 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, Virginia.

“Kedro” or “Skyy,” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. He loved his family, food, and football. Keon was a faithful fan of the San Francisco 49ers, whether win or lose.

One of Keon’s favorite pastimes was eating. He loved to eat day and night, and it showed. He would eat anything that was not nailed down. If you knew him, you knew that his first love was his family, then food, and everything else came last.

Keon was preceded in death by his father, Lewis “Tommy” Crosby; three grandfathers, Oliver Townsend, Frank Crosby, and Carl Holden; two grandmothers, Flossie Crosby and Deloris Holden; one uncle, Oliver Townsend, Jr.; and one aunt, Cassandra Townsend.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Cynthia “Jeannie” Townsend; four sons, Kae’mar White, Gabriel White, Blanford Persinger, III, and Deon Harris; one sister, Regina “Candy” (Troy) Townsend; three brothers, Preston Townsend, Morris “Mo” Townsend, all of Horntown, Virginia, and Yardley “Yarddogg” (Tina) Townsend of Palm Bay, FL; one stepsister, Lola Sudler; three stepbrothers, Efren Sudler, Antwan Sudler, and Effren Sudler, all of Delmarva; grandmother, Bernindean “Dolly” Townsend of Horntown, VA; nieces and nephews, Malik, Darrius, Amaria, Dillion, Dontea, Kynng, Prince, Syiere, Amber, Chelsey, Millie, Tanesha, Alexus, Brenaja, and Tynaja; best friend, Terrance Davis; two very close friends, Britney White and Richard Robbins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lovingly and sorrowfully submitted,
The Family
