Obituary for Lorenzo James Moore

Lorenzo James Moore, the beloved son of the late George Henry Moore and Irene Trader Moore, was born September 3, 1952 in Accomack County, Virginia. He departed his life on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia.

Lorenzo grew up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He attended Metompkin Baptist Church, where he gave his life to Christ at a very young age. He attended and graduated from Mary N. Smith High School. He pursued and obtained his Bachelor’s degree in business from Norfolk State University. During his time at Norfolk, he completed the reserve officer training course and obtained his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army in 1973.

Lorenzo relocated to Atlanta, where he became a faithful member at World Changers Church International under the leadership of Dr. Creflo Dollar and Pastor Taffi Dollar, for just under 20 years. He was a successful sales person at Butler Lexus of South Atlanta in Union City for just over 20 years.

Lorenzo leaves to cherish fond memory: one son, Lorenzo Antonio Moore of Charlotte, North Carolina; one daughter, Yimeka Robbins of Atlanta, Georgia; one grandson, Austin Noah Suleiman; six brothers, Leroy Trader (Margaret) of New Church, Virginia, Philiton Moore (Cynthia) of Newport News, Virginia, George Moore, Timothy
Moore, both of the Eastern Shore, Virginia, Kevin Moore (Marian) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Anthony Bailey (Noyka) of Portsmouth, Virginia; three sisters, Georgia Moore-McCall (Clarence) of Boynton Beach, Florida, Deborah Moore, of Mappsville, Virginia, and Charlene Down (William) of Norfolk, Virginia; four aunts, Alma Wilson of Camden, New Jersey, Evelyn Hampton of Woodbury, New Jersey, Carolyn Wallace (Fred), and
Vivian Wilson, both of Paulsboro, New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
