Obituary for Marvelous Dequan "Quan" Jubilee

Today we bow in humble submission to the will of the Almighty God who has, in HIS infinite wisdom, called from our midst, the dearly beloved Marvelous DeQuan Jubilee. “Quan,” as he was known by friends and loved ones, was born October 8, 1976 to Roland Jubilee Jr. and the late Ola Corine Murphy Jubilee. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, Virginia.

He was a kind man with a loving heart; he enjoyed laughing and having fun. Quan was raised and educated in Accomack County. After graduating from Nandua High School, he gained employment in Maryland working on boats and at Perdue in Accomac, where he remained until his health failed. Quan married Nakisha Strand and to this union God blessed them with one daughter, Jazmona.

In his youth, Marvelous confessed a hope in Christ was baptized and joined the New Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Willie Carter. He was an active member of the youth church.

Marvelous loved sports especially karate and football, he was an avid Tampa Bay fan.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ola Corine Jubilee; paternal grandparents, Roland and Susie Jubilee; and maternal grandparents, Frank and Lucy Murphy.

He will be lovingly remembered by his father, Roland Jubilee Jr.; daughters, Jazmona Jubilee and Shaquasha Jubilee; brother, Jutono (Tonja) Hardy; sisters, Robany Pittman and Dianna (Donald) Baynard; cousin, Keith Jubilee, who he thought of as a brother; foster sisters, Tyree James Savage and Tayannia Ames; godmother, Ethel Sturgis; godsisters, Danielle Strand, Kenya Baines, and Shonta Godwin; uncles, Wilbert (Mosserine) Murphy, Johnny (Betty) Murphy, William (Annie) Murphy, Cleo (Mary) Murphy, Preston (Ora) Murphy, and Aaron Murphy; aunts, Erma (Hubert) Philon and Carrie Murphy; great aunts, Glendora Davis and Luagia Mapp; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He will forever live in the hearts and minds of all the people he touched during his life.
