Monique Cherie Bland, beloved daughter of Clarence Bland and Missouri Bland, was born on May 17, 1977 in Nassawadox, Virginia. She departed this life on November 12, 2022 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, Virginia.
“Mo,” as she was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. She was employed in several industries throughout the years, lastly at Royal Farms in Parksley, Virginia.
In her spare time, Mo enjoyed cooking, singing, and decorating. She had a jovial personality, which she shared with her family, friends, and anyone she came in contact with.
Mo was a spiritual person and made her peace with the Father before her passing. Her favorite gospel was Can’t Give Up Now.
Mo was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Margaret Snead and Sidney Horsey, and a host of aunts and uncles.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her companion, Sylvester Ayers of Accomac, VA; two sons, Da’Shawn Bland of Washington, DC and Keimen Bland of Accomac, VA; one daughter, Ariana Bland of Richmond, VA; mother, Missouri Snead Bland (William Bailey, Jr.) of Accomac, VA; father, Clarence Bland of Philadelphia, PA; grandmother, Alice Bland of Philadelphia, PA; two siblings, Clarence Reid Bland, Jr. and Eric Donte’ Bland, Sr. of San Deigo, CA; three aunts, Lynette Bland, Richetta Bland, and Aliceson Bland, all of Philadelphia, PA; two uncles, Richard Snead of Accomack County, VA and Redell Bland of Philadelphia, PA; godmother, Patricia Dickerson of Philadelphia, PA; three godchildren, Kemiyah Jones, Laniya Jones, and Kyeisha Snead, all of the lower Eastern Shore; special and close friends, Beatrice Wilson, Latasha Smith, Samantha Fitchett, April Bibbins, and Stephi, all of the Eastern Shore; special cousins, Tammy Tarell Snead of Melfa, VA, Diann Mapp Santiago of Salisbury, MD, and Walter Shaw of Philadelphia, PA, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
