Norman Lee Holden, Jr., beloved son of the late Norman Jacobs, Sr. and Vianiaces Holden was born in Messongo, Virgnia on November 21, 1952. He departed this life on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Coastal Hospice in Salisbury, Maryland.
He attended the Accomack County Public School system. Norman was affectionately called “Snake” or “Storming Norman” by his family and friends.
Norman confessed his faith in God at an early age. In later years, he rededicated his life to Christ by his bedside and this was witnessed by Rev. Brenda Wise.
His productive years were spent doing poultry work at Perdue Farms and Tyson Foods. After retirement, Norman worked for A & B Salvage until his health began to fail.
Norman enjoyed life and was loved and respected by all who knew him. No matter what anyone said to him, he would just laugh and smile. His jovial manner will be missed by all.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two great nephews, Ervin Holden and Ranquon Bailey.
Left to cherish his fond memories: one sister, Delia Trader of Pocomoke, Maryland; one brother, Richard (Sharon) Holden of Temperanceville, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two aunts, Willie Mae Lewis of Temperanceville, Virginia, and Geraldine Crippen of Wilmington, Delaware; two uncles, Elize (Delores) Jacobs of Temperanceville, Virginia, and Dossie Jacobs of Manhattan, New York; one brother-in-law, Franklin Trader of Painter, Virginia; three step-children, Dorothy (Mike) Dixon of Salisbury, Maryland, Roxanne Singleton and Robert Singleton both of Long Island, New York, five nieces; five nephews; special close riding partner, Tim Giddens; dear friend, Rochelle Copes, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins , other relatives, and friends.
