Obituary for Ra'Saan Caleek "Pookie or Fat Daddy" Revels

Ra’Saan Caleek Revels, the beloved son of Angela and Rodnell Leonard, Sr. and Clarence Dixon, was born in Salisbury, Maryland on September 11, 2000. God called him to his eternal resting place on February 8, 2023 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, Maryland.

Ra’Saan received his education in Somerset County at Princess Anne Primary. From there, he continued his education at Cedar Chapel Special School, where he graduated in June 2022. Ra’Saan enjoyed music, family, and sports. His greatest enjoyment was watching football and basketball with his father on Sundays. He also loved the outdoors.

Ra’Saan was a very loving person. Everyone who encountered him loved his gentle spirit. His doctors and staff loved him just as one of their own.

Ra’Saan was preceded in death by his brother, Min. Tyler Bivens; grandmother, Joan Leonard; and two great-grandparents, Pete and Lillie Davis, Willie Revels, and Leola Marshall.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his parents, Rodnell and Angela Leonard of Pocomoke City, MD and Clarence Dixon of Princess Anne, MD; grandparents, Robert and Addie Revels of Temperanceville, VA, Norma Dick of Queens, NY, and Robert Leonard, Sr. (Queen) of Bishopville, MD; two brothers, Rodnell Leonard, Jr. of Pocomoke, MD and Ta’Sean Dixon of Princess Anne, MD; three sisters, Joanell Leonard of Pocomoke City, MD, Ciasia Dixon of HI, and Jinasia Dixon of Princess Anne, MD; two aunts, Vanquasia Davis of Wattsville, VA and Melissa Dick of Queens, NY; five uncles, Robert Revels, Jr., Jamar Revels, both of Horntown, VA, Robert Leonard, Jr. of Bishopville, MD, Rodney Leonard, Sr. of Georgetown, DE, and Shakiem Williams of Princess Anne, MD; one nephew, Tyler Bivens, II of Temperanceville, VA; godmother, Valisceya Pugh of Pocomoke City, MD; one sister-in-law, Terrica Holden Bivens of Temperanceville, VA; special caregivers, Stefani Felker, Airee Watson, Charles Prange, Bobbi Graham, Faye Bounds, and Takaira Taylor; special aunts, Tanya Townsend and Kenya Marshall; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
