Obituary for Richard Lee "Tre" Belote III

Richard Lee Belote, III, was born on April 5, 1994 to Yomika Dickerson and Richard Belote, Jr. in Salisbury, Maryland. “Tre,” as he was lovingly called, was a light of positivity and joy to his family and friends. On Sunday December 4, 2022, Tre was called from Earth to Glory in Houston, Texas.

Tre was educated in the Somerset County Public School system and graduated from Washington High School in June 2012. After graduation, he took the brave leap and enlisted in the United States Marines. While in the Marines, Tre was deployed to Okinawa, Japan and South Korea serving in the Special Security Forces. After serving for four years, he received an Honorable Discharge. Upon his discharge from the Marines, Tre continued his military career and enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Field Artillery Forces. He proudly served in the Army for three years and also received an Honorable Discharge.

Tre was known for his happy demeanor and friendly nature, he never met a stranger. His caring heart was evident through his actions and loving hugs; he gave the best hugs. Many can attest to the numerous phone calls and conversations where he offered encouragement and advice to his friends. Tre was always willing to see the good in people, even during the most difficult times. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed being home to spend quality time with his siblings and parents. In his spare time, Tre enjoyed drawing and playing video games with his friends across the world. His light will continue to shine bright in our hearts.
