Obituary for Richard "Mook" Fisher
Richard Fisher, beloved son of the late Julius Fisher and Mamie Brooks Fisher, was born on May 15, 1940 in Accomac, Virginia. He departed this life on January 2, 2022 at his residence in Accomac, Virginia.
Richard worked in many industries throughout his childhood and adulthood. He was a member of the First Born Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Nassawadox, Virginia.
In his spare time, he enjoyed watching movies. His favorites were Under Siege, Maximum Overdrive, and Wheels of Terror. He also enjoyed listening to gospel music. His favorite songs included Cooling Water by Lee Williams and I Feel Like Praising Him.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by five brothers, Roland Fisher, Robert Fisher, Fred Fisher, Jeffery Nock, and Leroy Nock; two sisters, Elizabeth Fisher and Gladys Fisher Summers; and his favorite niece, Rosie Summers Kellam.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: sister, Pearl Collier; nephew, Hayward Fisher; his two great-nieces, Michelle Summers and Kimberly Summers; three great-nephews, Zyrik Summers, Elliott Summers, and Joseph Summers; seven great, great-nieces and great, great-nephews, which he help to raise, I’sanah Bellamy, Zaekwon Bellamy, Triyuahn Custis, Nasir Custis, Jordan Bellamy, Frederick Bellamy, and Kamiyeycha Custis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
