Obituary for Roberta Sara "Berta" Snow (Moore)
On Monday April 11, 2022 in Berlin Maryland at 4:28 pm Roberta Sarà Snow “Berta,” fell asleep in death. She was born June 9, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Robert and Catherine Moore. Roberta grew up surrounded by a large loving family. She was the third of five children and grew up to be the smallest sibling, but she made up for it in personality.
Berta never liked being the center of attention, but was always ready to lend a helping hand and extend a kind word to all. She had a heart of gold. She loved to read the Bible, cook, watch old movies, talk on the phone and most of the time, loved her husband’s jokes. She was always surrounded by friends and family, and would welcome all and was ready to lend a hand to anyone, then ask “what can I get you to eat?” She was reluctant to learn a new language but quickly made progress in this new stage in her life and embraced wholeheartedly her new Creole family. While in middle school, her close friend Naomi, introduced her friend Berta to her brother Carl. She married Carlton Montgomery Snow III on August 17, 1974. In that same year, she and her husband together dedicated their lives to Jehovah in baptism.
She leaves behind the love of her life of 48 years Carlton Snow, III.
She will be lovingly cherished by her siblings, Deborah, Sheila and Charles Moore. Her family got larger with the addition Carl’s siblings, Rosemary Snow, Naomi (Tony) Baldwin, Russell Snow, Geoffrey (Barbara) Snow, and Rodney (Susan) Snow. She leaves her two daughters, Angela Snow and Candace (Shuaid) Davis to also cherish her memories. Six grandchildren, Camiryn Davis, Mo’Nique Richmond, Keeshawne Astrop, Shuaid “Bear” Davis, II, Adam Snow-Smith, and Aiden Snow-Smith. Nephews and nieces, Derrick, Marc, Russell, Brandi, II, Philip, Winifried, Averi, Rodney, Cory, Kyle, Jessica, Robert, III, Matthew, Lee, Michael, Samantha, Christina, Kevin, Dominque, Mathew, Eboni, and Deidre. Also, she leaves behind an abundant amount of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and 2 grand-dogs, Brandy and Bentley.
Her parents and brother, Robert Moore, II, all preceded her in death.
