Obituary for Rochelle B. "Ro" Ndiongue (Blowe)

Rochelle E. Blowe Ndiongue was born on April 6, 1982 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Robert Earl Blowe and Dorothy “Elaine” Taylor Blowe. She was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, Maryland.

“Ro,” as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was a 2000 graduate of Tallwood High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Upon graduation, she gained her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. In later years, she earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Norfolk State University, a Masters of Science Nursing (MSN) and Masters of Health Administration (MHA) both from University of Maryland Global Campus, and she was currently pursuing studies toward becoming a Nurse Practitioner (NP). Rochelle was a Registered Nurse with the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Washington, DC. She was also a founder & CEO RN LOGICS, Inc. Healthcare Consulting Services.

Rochelle was a true believer and her faith in God was the one testimony she often discussed, referring to her first experience praying and trusting God when she was 7 years old and her mother had cancer. She worshipped at Metropolitan A. M. E. Church in Norfolk, Virginia. In later years, she joined Rock Springs A. M. E. Zion Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina after her relocation due to her mother’s job transfer. Rochelle was very active in the youth ministries. After relocating to Frederick, Maryland, she attended Ebenezer U. M. Church.

Rochelle loved visiting her family, always thinking of a special dish she found online but knew her Grandma Dot would dismiss the thought and cook her own special dish. She was always taking photos of her children and sending videos to all her family-highlighting the joy she had with her children.

Rochelle was involved in modeling and acting as early as middle school and continued throughout her early adulthood. She participated in various talent programs. Rochelle loved reading and writing and was the co-author of the book, The Storms of Our Lives, written by her mother, D. Taylor Blowe. She loved fashion and make-up and in December 2022, she was so excited to attend alongside national celebrities.

In addition to her parents, Rochelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Bernice Blowe and Edward L. Taylor, Sr.; and aunts, Emily T. Roberts and Estella T. Robinson.

Left to cherish her loving memory are her beloved little children, Laliah (12), Zahra (8) and Amir (2); their father, Cheikh; grandmother, Dorothy T. White; two aunts, Phyllis T. Wessells (William) and Vanessa T. Copeland (Randy); two uncles, Edward L. Taylor, Jr. (Angela) and Leander S. Roberts, Jr.; one great aunt, Bernice E. Anderson; 1st cousins, Tanisha, Aviance and three 1st cousins who grew up in earlier years as siblings, Leander S. Roberts, III, Patrina T. Wessells, and Danielle L. Hayes; 2nd cousins, Leander S. Roberts, IV, Iyana Smith, Zavion Guidry, and Zayla Guidry; special cousin who was like an aunt, Mareitta Smith; uncles, Roy Custis and William Lee Custis; and a host of wonderful cousins and friends.

Lovingly and sorrowfully submitted,
The Family
