Obituary for Rosa Lee "Stunna" Justice (Johnson)

Rosa Lee Justice, daughter of the late Henry Johnson and Pearlie Mae Dickerson, was born on May 15, 1960 in Mappsville, Virginia. She departed this earthly life on August 26, 2022 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, Virginia.

Rosa received her education in the Accomack County Public Schools. Before her sickness, Rosa worked as a housekeeper at the Sea Shell Motel on Chincoteague, Virginia and on several other jobs.

Rosa was a phenomenal woman with a heart of gold. She was a pillar in the family and a servant to the community. Her love was so genuine. She provided for numerous families, friends, and even strangers on the street. Rosa had a passion for caring for others, she made sure people were fed and clothed. She would give her last to anyone in need.

Rosa enjoyed giving back to the community. She hosted Easter Egg Hunts, Trunk or Treats, Back-to-School Bashes, holiday giveaways, and so much more to bring family and friends together.

Rosa spent the majority of time with her husband, other family, and friends under her old shade tree, cooking out and enjoying life.

In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by her son, Fardale Johnson.

Rosa leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband, whom she shared forty-two years of love, Steve Justice of Mappsville, VA; sons, Leroy Johnson, Anthony Johnson, and Lavor Johnson, all of Mappsville, VA; four sisters, Alice (Willie) Jones, Lakonda (Roy) Bowser, both of New Church, VA, Temeka Dickerson, and Augusta (Roger) Scarborough, both of Mappsville, VA; three brothers, Bruce Johnson, Eddie Savage, both of Mappsville, VA, and David (Lynda) Dickerson of Atlantic, VA; three sisters and two brothers of Fort Lauderdale, FL; fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Linda Justice and Connie (Alfred) Needam; one brother-in-law, Ronnie Justice; three special best friends, Tommy “Tom” Brown, Warren “Flake” Davis, and Keith “Sweat” Duffy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
