Russell Courtland Justice, son of the late Alfonce Harmon and Levi Warrington, was born August 6, 1940, in Horntown, Virginia. He departed this life on December 25, 2022, at his home in Horntown.
“Butch,” as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Accomack County, Virginia. A former Marine, Butch worked at Perdue Farms in the maintenance department his entire working career until his retirement. Post retirement, he could be found playing Keno at Browns in Pocomoke City. He was an avid reader of all things including health and wellness books.
Butch is survived by his children, Sheryl Douglas-Smack (Dale) of Snow Hill, MD, Tina Justice of Ocean Pines, MD, Leslie Justice, of Pocomoke City, MD, Angela Justice of Salisbury, MD, and Dedric Ames (Denise) of Accomac, VA; siblings, Homer Justice (Janice) of Windsor, NJ, Lois Dickerson, Dewey Harmon, Otis Douglas, James Harmon, all of Horntown, VA, George Warrington (Anna) of New Church, VA, John Warrington (Lucile) of Hurlock, MD, Barbara Warrington of Greensboro, NC, Valerie White (Richard) of Richmond, VA, Eunice Kelly (Keith) of Parksley, VA, Delores Barham (Carl) of Columbia MD, and Loretta Joynes of Georgetown, DE; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his grandparents, Admiral Dewey and Ola Justice who raised him; siblings, Janice Harmon, Thomas Harmon, and Joyce Warrington.
