Obituary for Salina McGee Giddins

Salina McGee Giddins was born on June 10, 1977 in Nassawadox, Virginia to Samuel Giddins, Jr. and Betty Fletcher. She entered into eternal rest on December 1, 2020 at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Salina was educated in the public schools of Accomack County. She attended Salisbury University in Maryland, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics. She was currently pursing her degree in Computer Programming. For a number of years, she was employed at Chase Bank in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Salina later relocated to North Carolina and gained employment at Walmart. She quickly climbed the ladder of success and received numerous promotions, her last being Front End Coach.

At an early age, Salina accepted Christ as her personal savior. She worshipped at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. One of her favorite songs was Won’t He Do It by Koryn Hawthorne.

Salina was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Although she didn’t have any children, she was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews also known as “her children.” Her passion was crocheting those famous hats and scarves. In her leisure, she loved to read.

Salina leaves to cherish her loving memories: mother, Betty Fletcher; father, Samuel Giddins, Jr.; grandmother, Novella James; sister, Shamara Giddens; brothers, Samuel Giddins, III and Jarrod Bailey; aunts, Diane (Earl) Major, Minister Mary (Jimmy) Belton, and Gladys Matthews; nephews, Jamir Giddins, Althel Bailey, Jr., Trevor Giddins, and Zachary Giddins; nieces, Imani Giddins, Ryann Giddins, and Journie Bailey; special cousin, Larry Collins; special friends from South Carolina, Amber, Benji, Shea, and Alaina, who was more like a sister; and a host of cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
