Obituary for Victor Curtis "VIc or Hunt" Hall

Victor Curtis Hall, beloved son of the late Lula Hall Seymour, was born on October 2, 1959 in Accomac, Virginia. He transitioned from labor to reward on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

“Vic” or “Hunt,” as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Accomack County and was a graduate of Onancock High School. Upon his graduation, Victor entered the United States Coast Guard and proudly served his country for eighteen years before his retirement in 1996. After his honorable discharge from the Coast Guard, he gained employment with the United States Postal Service. Victor dedicated twenty years of service until his retirement in 2017.

Victor had a passion for cooking, so he enrolled at Johnson & Wales University and received his certification in Culinary Arts. He was well known for his skills in the kitchen. He fed numerous people during family and community functions, including Cooper & Humbles Funeral Company’s Community Day and Accomac Day to name a few.

At an early age, Victor became a member of Macedonia AME Church in Accomac, Virginia. He often assisted the Culinary Ministry for annual days and special occasions.

In his spare time, Victor enjoyed watching football. His favorite team was the Minnesota Vikings. He could be found on Sundays enjoying the game and good food with family and friends.

Victor was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Seymour; stepfather, who helped raise him, Samuel Seymour; and brother, Donnell Hall.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, his children, Jamar Hall of Melfa, VA and Victoria Hall of El Paso, TX; grandchildren, Jamar Hall, Jr., Ant’niya Hall, and Jaleah Hall; siblings, Gary (Marian) Hall of Geneva, Switzerland and Michael “Keith” (Angela) Hall of Winston-Salem, NC; uncle, Robert Hall (Odelsie) of Accomac, VA; sister-in-law, Taryn Hall; special friends, Lola Dix, Karen Selby, and the LA4LYFE Crew; and other relatives and friends.

Lovingly and sorrowfully submitted,
The Family
