Wayne Thomas Parks was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 4, 2018. He was born on October 17, 1957 to Warner and Marguerite Parks in Accomac, Virginia.

Wayne was educated in the Accomack County Public Schools. After completing high school, Wayne further his education at Virginia State University for two years and Delaware State University for one year. He worked several jobs, most recently, he was employed by the Accomack County School’s Food Nutrition Department, until his health began to fail.

In his early years, Wayne joined Macedonia AME Church and was a member of the youth choir and Sunday School.

One of Wayne’s favorite things to do was singing with the Dennis Choral Gospel Ensemble. He was also an avid gardener and enjoyed working in the yard, planting flowers and pruning bushes.

Wayne was well-known through out the Eastern Shore and beyond. When he met someone for the first time, it was if he had known them all his life; no one was a stranger. He always saying something to make you laugh or smile. Whenever you would see Wayne, you would see his mother too.

Wayne was predeceased by his brother, Emanuel Parks.
